about sports therapy & treatment
-
Not at all. Sports therapy isn’t just for athletes. I work with people of different ages, activity levels and backgrounds, including those experiencing everyday aches and pains, recovering from injuries or surgery, looking to improve mobility, or wanting to return to exercise.
-
I can help assess and manage a range of musculoskeletal problems, including muscle and joint pain, sports injuries, movement restrictions and rehabilitation following injury or surgery, where appropriate.
-
Sports massage focusses on soft-tissue treatment to help manage muscle tension, discomfort and mobility. An injury assessment involves discussing your symptoms, assessing relevant movement and function, and developing an appropriate management or rehabilitation plan. I’ll help you decide which service is most suitable if you’re unsure.
-
Yes. Where appropriate, I provide personalised exercises and guidance to help improve strength, mobility, movement and function.
-
This depends on your symptoms, goals and how you respond to treatment. Some people benefit may benefit from a single appointment, while others may need follow-up sessions and a structured rehabilitation programme. We’ll discuss suitable next steps based on your individual needs.
If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, get in touch and I’ll be happy to help. Whether you’re interested in a clinic appointment or a mobile session, I’ll help you work out the next steps.
